It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of one of our esteemed team members. Doyle Wyngarden, our Corporate Parts Manager based in Tacoma, WA, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, March 21st, 2023, due to complications from a recent medical issue.
Doyle was our longest-serving employee, with a tenure of 33 years. He played a pivotal role in shaping the legacy of the Vermeer Northwest region, starting as their very first employee in 1990 and continuing through his career to develop the Pacific Northwest stores, parts departments, and most importantly, the people. Prior to joining Vermeer Northwest, Doyle worked at Vermeer Corporation in Pella, IA, beginning in 1978 and continuing until he accepted a position to help establish the new Vermeer dealership in Tacoma, WA.
Doyle had a deep passion for Vermeer and took great pleasure in sharing it with his colleagues, new team members, and our valued customers. His loss will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and all team members and customers whose lives he touched on a daily basis.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karla, his two daughters, Samantha and Meagan, along with their spouses and four cherished grandchildren. We kindly request that you keep Doyle and his family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult time.
